Job Opening: Elevator Adjuster – KONE, Schindler, MCE & Non-Proprietary Systems

North American Elevator, a leading independent elevator company, is actively seeking a highly experienced Elevator Adjuster to join our field operations team. We specialize in new installations, modernizations, and code compliance work across New York City and New Jersey.

Position Overview:​

Elevator Adjuster

Responsibilities:

  • Perform adjustment, setup, and final tuning of elevator systems for both traction and hydraulic units
  • Work extensively on KONE, Schindler, MCE, and all non-proprietary controllers
  • Conduct advanced troubleshooting and testing during installation and modernization projects
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, job drawings, and software parameters
  • Collaborate with project managers and field crews to ensure timely turnover of elevator projects

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Elevator Adjuster or in a similar technical role
  • In-depth knowledge of non-proprietary control systems and hands-on experience with KONE, Schindler, and MCE equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with controllers, motors, VFDs, and signal systems
  • OSHA 10/30 and valid driver’s license required
  • CET or QEI certification a plus
